Opening times
From 15 May to 15 September
9.30am - 6.30pm (every day)
From 16 September to 14 May
9.30am- 12.15pm and 2pm - 5pm (Tuesday to Sunday)
Please note: last access to the monument 30 minutes before closing time.
Closed on Mondays from 16 September to 14 May, 1 January, 1 May, 1 and 11 November and 25 December.
Prices
The ticket gives you access to the Romanesque cloister, the Chapter Room and the Salle des États du Velay upstairs (Cougard-Fruman treasury and textile collection).

BY CAR
A47 from Lyon via Saint-Étienne, then RN88 towards Le Puy-en-Velay, exit 51 (town centre).A75 from Paris via Clermont-Ferrand, then RN102 towards Le Puy-en-Velay, then D590.The cathedral complex is located in the heart of the historic district, in the upper town of Le Puy-en-Velay. Please note: access and parking are very limited in the upper town. or on the outskirts (shuttles).
BY BIKE
Le Puy-en-Velay is close to the Via Fluvia.
BY TRAIN
Le Puy-en-Velay is served by two TER Auvergne Rhône-Alpes lines: The station is close to the town centre.
Services and visiting conditions
- Dogs not allowed (except guide dogs).
- Access not recommended for pushchairs, numerous staircases.
- Photos permitted in all areas, without flash.
